The Bootcamp Kit

A laptop arrives. Everything is already on it. You open it and start doing the work — not watching a course about it.

It arrives fully packed.

The laptop arrives fully packed with advanced AI tools, learning modules, and videos. Claude Cowork is pre-installed and configured, and every dataset you need is already on the machine.

Advanced AI tools · Claude Cowork ready to use · all learning datasets preloaded

A takeaway meal,
not a shopping list.

There is no shortage of AI courses, procurement ones included. Nearly all of them hand you ingredients — buy this tool, configure that access, source the data yourself. For a busy independent, that is exactly where the learning dies.

Everything here is already cooked.

Self-serve
spend analytics.

Drop a messy spend file into a watched folder and it comes back clean and interrogable, with a dashboard on top. Then push it past description: ranked opportunities, value against effort, and a one-page business case you could put in front of a CFO.

Contract
intelligence.

Obligations, renewal traps, notice periods, where the exposure sits — in the time it takes to read the first page. Then compare across the whole supplier base and find where you are accepting worse terms than you have already secured elsewhere. That is your leverage.

Market
observation.

Stand up an agent that watches your supply base — supplier M&A, financial warnings, disruption to the routes and production networks your categories depend on. It briefs you on a cadence, and every item comes with the “so what” attached.

One week.
Self-paced.

Choose the modules that interest you most. Each module offers two tracks:

  1. Express · approximately 1 hour. Move quickly through the workflow and produce a useful result.
  2. Full build · 2–3 hours. Go deeper by building, adapting, and iterating on the workflow yourself.

The focus is learning how to build and iterate with AI, rather than learning one specific tool.

Total weekly commitment: 3–9 hours, depending on how deep you want to go.

Frequently asked questions.

Who is this bootcamp for?

This bootcamp is built specifically for independent procurement interim managers who need to get up to speed quickly in new client environments. If you regularly step into new assignments and need to identify opportunities, understand the situation and start creating value fast, this is designed for you.

How is this different from a typical AI course?

It is practical, procurement-specific and built around the reality of a busy interim manager.

Everything is already prepared, so you spend virtually no time setting up tools. Each module lets you start immediately with pre-built tools and workflows. If you want to understand how things work under the hood, there is also an optional build-from-scratch track.

You decide how deep you want to go.

What will I actually learn?

The goal is not to teach you one particular AI tool.

You will learn a more durable way of working with AI: how to define the outcome you need, frame procurement problems, interact effectively with AI systems and use them to get from data to useful output faster.

Specific tools will change. These skills are much more transferable between platforms, clients and assignments.

Do I need to buy any AI subscriptions?

No. Everything you need is included in the bootcamp fee.

The laptop, software, paid subscriptions and required AI capacity are provided. If you need additional capacity for a particularly demanding exercise during the bootcamp, that is included too.

Do I need to install or configure anything?

No. Everything is pre-installed and ready to use.

Open the laptop, connect it to Wi-Fi and start. Course videos are stored locally on the laptop, although the AI tools themselves require an internet connection.

How much time do I need?

It depends on how deep you want to go.

Around 3 hours is enough to work through the core experience using the pre-built tools.

Allow around 9 hours if you also want to follow the deeper track, build things yourself and explore how everything works.

You can go considerably further if you want to experiment with different scenarios and really test what today's AI can and cannot do.

Is the bootcamp self-paced?

Yes. It is fully self-paced, so you can fit it around your current assignment and other commitments.

Do I need previous AI or prompting experience?

No.

Modern AI systems have become significantly better at understanding intent. What matters increasingly is your ability to define the outcome you want, provide the right context, exercise judgment and interact effectively with the system.

That is what you will practice. The focus is not on memorising “perfect prompts”.

Is this about AI generally or specifically about procurement?

Both, but procurement is at the centre.

The exercises and use cases are built around procurement, including spend analysis, contract intelligence and market observation.

Along the way, you will also develop broader AI skills such as structuring conversations, providing context, iterating effectively and using tools such as voice-to-text to interact with AI faster.

Those skills are transferable well beyond the individual procurement exercises.

Can I apply what I learn to a real assignment?

Yes, although professional judgment remains essential.

The bootcamp is designed around activities you may encounter in an actual procurement assignment: analysing spend, working with contracts and observing markets.

AI does not replace your expertise or accountability. It can, however, significantly reduce the effort required to get from information to useful insight.

How is this different from learning from YouTube or a generic online course?

There is plenty of excellent AI content available for free.

The difference here is the environment. Everything is procurement-specific, pre-configured and designed for practical application.

You don’t spend your limited time finding the right tools, setting up accounts, assembling datasets or figuring out what to practise. The aim is simple: maximise practical learning for every hour you invest.

What data will I work with?

Everything happens in a safe sandbox.

The spend-analysis exercises use a substantial publicly available dataset. For contract intelligence, you work with a purpose-built synthetic corpus of 50 realistic contracts covering both direct and indirect procurement.

The contracts deliberately vary in complexity and format, including PDFs and photographed documents, to better simulate the imperfect information you may encounter in a real assignment.

No real client data is required.

What happens to my data after the bootcamp?

Any data temporarily stored on the provided laptop during your bootcamp is removed afterwards.

Once the bootcamp is completed, the laptop is restored to its original baseline before being used again.

What if my current client only allows tools such as Copilot?

You may not be able to immediately replicate every exercise inside a restricted client environment. That’s okay.

The purpose is to build skills ahead of the curve. AI capabilities are moving rapidly into mainstream enterprise environments, including the tools already used by large organisations.

Learning how to work effectively with these systems now means you are better prepared as those capabilities become available to you and your clients.

Won’t everything I learn become outdated in six months?

Some details will. A button will move, an interface will change and today’s leading model will eventually be replaced by something better.

That is exactly why the bootcamp is not built around memorising one particular interface.

The emphasis is on principles, ways of working and practical skills that should remain useful as the underlying tools continue to evolve.

Will AI replace procurement interim managers?

Not anytime soon, particularly experienced professionals who bring judgment, stakeholder skills and commercial understanding.

But AI is changing how procurement work can be done.

Interim managers who know how to use it effectively can become more data-driven, get up to speed faster and potentially deliver more visible impact. As these capabilities become more common, that can also become an important competitive advantage when winning future assignments.

What is the ROI?

Think about the time required to produce a solid spend analysis, review a large contract portfolio or build a fact base at the beginning of an assignment.

If AI helps you reach a useful output significantly faster, you have more time to validate the findings, engage stakeholders and act on the opportunities you uncover.

There is also a competitive dimension. As more interim managers become AI-literate, being able to demonstrate that you can combine procurement experience with modern ways of working may increasingly differentiate you when competing for assignments.

Who is this bootcamp not for?

This is not a generic AI introduction and it is not designed primarily for permanent employees working within the same environment over a long period.

It is specifically built for procurement interim managers who regularly enter new situations, value continuous learning and are curious about how AI can change the way they work.

What if I’m not sure whether it’s right for me?

Give me a call.

We can have a short conversation, I’ll answer your questions and we can take it from there.

How do I reserve a week?

Reach out with the week you would prefer.

There is a limited number of bootcamp kits available, so I can tentatively reserve one for you while you confirm your calendar and make a final decision.

How does invoicing work?

The bootcamp is invoiced to your company (AB), plus VAT. Standard payment terms are 14 days.

If you need different invoicing timing, such as month-end, let me know and we can discuss it.

What if I need to cancel or change my week?

You can cancel for a full refund up to 10 days before your scheduled start.

After that, you can transfer your booking to another available week or keep the amount as credit towards a future bootcamp.
